A 23-year-old Albanian woman died in a Padua hospital from fulminant myocarditis.
Ariana Herri, 23, was first transported to Ca' Foncello in Treviso and then to Padua where she underwent intensive care. Despite the doctors' efforts, she could not survive and passed away.
The autopsy will be crucial in determining the cause of death.
In recent months she had suffered from panic attacks and tachycardia, linked to a difficult period after the end of a love affair, and had been hospitalized with vomiting, Italian media wrote.
