The Appeals Court of Kosovo (GJKKO) is reviewing today the request of Freedom Party president Ilir Meta for his release from prison.
The previous session was postponed at the request of lawyer Kujtim Cakrani, claiming that the notice of the summons to the session did not state the name of the judge who would review the case.
The former president has been in prison since October of last year, charged with passive corruption, money laundering, and concealment of assets.
On October 16, the Supreme Court rejected his appeal for the security measure.
