Lying on the ground and handcuffed in his hands, the Greek media have published photos from the moment of the arrest of 40-year-old Albanian Pandeli Nakoleci, who killed his wife in front of his children.

Nakoleci was found hiding in a plot of land near the house and showed no remorse at the time of his arrest. "My wife was cheating on me, what should I do?" he told police officers as they handcuffed him.

The 36-year-old mother, the mother of 4 children, was stabbed in the body and neck in their eyes, witnessing the macabre crime at the hands of her father. The incident happened under the apartment of the building where they lived. The woman tried to escape by going down the stairs, but without success, as she fell on the glass of the entrance door of the bloodied palace. Present at the time of the crime was the couple's eldest daughter, who also confessed the dynamic.

On Monday, August 25, the autopsy of the 36-year-old woman is expected to be carried out by the Department of Forensic Medicine of Thessaloniki, where her body has already been transferred.

Yesterday, Friday, the couple's eldest daughter (18 years old) called the Emergency Response Center and reported that her mother was found covered in blood at the entrance to the building and that her father was the one who hit her. The unfortunate 36-year-old woman ended up in the ambulance during her transfer to Volos General Hospital, but lost her life shortly after.

Witnesses from the couple's neighborhood reported that the couple had been having a heated argument since the morning. The couple had had a lot of arguments recently, while the 40-year-old author reportedly faces serious psychiatric problems and only last June he was transferred by order of the prosecutor to a clinic for psychiatric examination, where he remained hospitalized after a suicide attempt.

Even in Albania, according to family members, he was cartelized for mental health problems and was treated with KEMP.

"His criminal file is also burdened. In November 2024, he was arrested for administrative deportation, while in 2019 he was twice in police custody for drug possession. Previously, in 2018, he was sentenced to one year in prison for false testimony, while in 2020 he served a four-and-a-half-year prison sentence for participating in a criminal organization and drug trafficking. His criminal activity can be traced back to 2013, when he was arrested for forgery and illegal entry into the country, with the court considering him an undesirable foreigner", informs the Greek media.
