The show "Inside Story" has published an investigation tonight about the international operation "Spirit" that destroyed a group of Albanian organizations linked to the Italian mafia in the trafficking of cannabis.

In the documents of the Italian anti-drugs, the unknown testimony of the penitent is revealed, which reveals the name of SPAK prosecutor Eneid Nakuçi. But despite this episode, the prosecutor managed to pass the vetting process, despite all the problems found.

The question that naturally arises is why the Prosecutor of Serious Crimes was not interrogated after the testimony of Mariglen Shusha. The facts match the testimony. The truth is that the file that Nakuçi had in his hand on the traffickers of Vlora had been closed. His name does not even appear in the Albanian file. Everything has passed in silence. Despite this episode, the prosecutor managed to pass the vetting process, despite all the problems found.

The matter in question was not discussed at all during the process as no one but his colleagues had information. In the minutes of the final decision that confirmed him in office, the fact that a similar file was analyzed stands out. The international observer Theo Jacobs has questioned the integrity of Nakuci since earlier, he had closed a drug trafficking investigation that belonged to 2013. So, a precedent that repeats itself.

"Essential and serious mistakes were made by the subject while performing his functions as the prosecutor of the case. From the analysis of all the available practice, regardless of the accurate, detailed and reliable information of the anti-narcotics and traffic department in the Vlora Regional Police Directorate, since the subject has also provided the names of suspected individuals, their telephone numbers, data from TIMS and photos, as well as their updated criminal records, has registered the proceeding without names", the decision of the vetting states.

Furthermore, in the justification provided, the Independent Qualification Commission states that no surveillance was conducted on the two individuals suspected of the case based on information from the anti-narcotics sector. During the vetting process, the commission also administered a complaint from a citizen who was involved in an accident with the prosecutor. We are talking about an episode of October 27, 2016. The citizen stated that while traveling with her vehicle, she was hit by another vehicle that turned out to be driven by prosecutor Ened Nakuçi. Referring to the denunciation, the prosecutor had left the scene. This fact was also accepted by Nakuçi himself who had returned to the scene. He maintained that at first he did not understand the physical contact and the damage to the other vehicle.

Despite these episodes, the SPAK prosecutor managed to pass the vetting without any problems. The only opposition was from the international observer who emphasized the problem with the suspension of the drug file. A precedent that was allegedly repeated with the group of Lani of Vlora, a powerful organization that was hit after the international action "Spirti".
