Tonight, the program "Stop" denounces the case of receiving 15 thousand euros from a lawyer and the latter then disappeared.

It is about the lawyer Artan Gjuzi, for whom "Stop" has broadcasted several cases of his frauds and citizens continue to seek protection against him.

Veli Xhelali and Xhevrie Beçi, the parents of Mateo Xhelili and Izmir Beçi, two friends who were caught transporting two Moroccan citizens, denounce the lawyer for taking their money and not providing protection to their children. The court sentenced them to 3.4 years each.

Lawyer Gjuzi asked for 7,500 Euros for the defense and 7,500 Euros for the day of the court's decision, claiming that they would not be punished.

Veli Xelali : I am Mateo Xelali's father. He was convicted by the Court of Gjirokastra for transporting 2 Moroccans from Gjirokastra to Tirana. He was sentenced to 3.4 years in prison. The problem is with the lawyer who deceived us, Artan Gjuzi took our defense to get them out of prison. He left us half the trial. With a notarial contract, he told us 7,500 Euros at the beginning and 7,500 Euros at the end when he leaves the prison door. We gave him 15 thousand Euros. He did not come to the court at all, he resigned.

Xhevrie Beçi:  I am the mother of Izmir Beçi, my daughter is 30 years old, I was caught in Gjirokastër for smuggling. He was also sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison.

But the lawyer did not appear in court at all and the boys were convicted. Artan Gjuzi received 15,000 Euros even though he had signed a notarial statement, which stated that if the lawyer did not keep his promises, he would return the money.

Veli Xhelali: After the notarial statement of November, he made us a handwritten statement to postpone the deadline. It blew our minds. After that, he made another notarial deed to postpone the deadline for giving us the money. He has pushed us month by month. For the New Year, he told me that he will give it to me, but he doesn't, the New Year has passed and we don't see the money with our eyes. I paid for the notarial acts.

Veli Xhelali and Xhevrie Beçi say that they tried to contact the lawyer, but he avoided and hid.

Veli Xhelali: Ditën e gjyqit i ka çuar prokurorit të Gjirokastrës mesazh, i ka thënë bëj dorëheqje se një nga ata çunat nuk është përgjigjur në pagesë. Ne paratë ja kishim dhënë.

Xhevrie Beçi: Më thotë rri pa merak se lekët e tua do t’i marrësh. Kemi shkuar gjithëkund duke e kërkuar edhe do t’ua kthej, mos u mërzisni, do t’ua kthej sot, nesër, pasnesër. Unë personalisht nuk e kam takuar më.

Veli Xhelali: I kam bërë denoncim në polici, më kanë thënë me këtë noteri që ke ti ik hap gjyq, s’ka punë policia. Nuk i jam drejtuar gjykatës, erdha te Stop.

Veli Xhelali: Duam paratë të na kthehen mbrapsht siç ja kemi dhënë. Fëmijët na mbetën në burg, dorëheqje bëri, duam paratë siç ja kemi dhënë të na i kthejë.

Xhevrie Beçi: Të zbatojë aktin noterial që ka bërë, të më kthejë lekët se çuni po më vuan dënimin.

Avokati Artan Gjuzi nuk u paraqit në gjyq dhe u zhduk duke mos u kthyer paratë. Gazetarja e Stop shkoi në zyrën e avokatit disa herë dhe aty nuk kishte asnjë njeri.

Në fund, avokati Artan Gjuzi kontaktohet nga gazetarja e “Stop”. Gjuzi edhe një herë premton se do t’ua kthejë paratë qytetarëve.

Avokati Artan Gjuzi: Odeta, të kuptova! Mos u lodh kot të më flasësh aty si zogjt! A do më dëgjosh, apo nuk do më dëgjosh? Të mora me shumë respekt, të më dëgjosh. Nuk ka nevojë askush të ndërhyjë! Do zgjidhet! Unë i kam pranu kushtet e atyre, si kanë dash ato. Edhe njëherë Odeta, i thuaj zotërinjve, të vijnë ta mbyllim atë historinë, dhe do bëjmë deklaratën, që u likujduam dhe mirupafshim. Lawyer Gjuzi promised to give the rest of the money of 5,000 Euros in the middle of March.
