Në 25 Nëntor të vitit 2016 vendoset pushimi i hetimeve ndaj Robert Myftarit, edhe pse në gomonen e drogës ishin gjetur dokumente që e lidhnin me të. Ndërkohë, në 10 Korrik 2017 u pezullua dosja pasi nuk u arrit të identifikoheshin trafikantët. Pra, dëshmia e Mariglen Shushës përputhet me atë që ka ndodhur në të vërtetë. Hetimet ndaj Myftarit ishin pushuar dhe dosja ishte pezulluar.

"The procedure was closed, but Lani also wanted the seized boat back. He told me that he had paid 200,000 euros to settle the case, they should also return the raft. Lani did not pay the money in one hand. Psychologist Landi took this money to pay the one who had solved the case. But Lani suspected that the psychologist had kept part of the money for himself".

Shusha is asked by the prosecutors if he himself was present when the money was handed over. The repentant explains that he was present in the first attempt when Lani tried to give 10 thousand euros to the prosecutor from Berat. He clarifies that he was not present when 200,000 euros were given to the prosecutor of Tirana.
