The competition for the Director of Public Security at the State Police opens for the first time

The first competition for the position of Director of the Public Security Department at the State Police is open. The deadline for applicants is July 15th.

The police officer who will show interest in heading one of the most important positions in the State Police must necessarily have the ranks "Director" and "First Director".

In addition to this basic criterion, the applicant must have Albanian citizenship and not have been convicted by a final decision. Also, within the last 3 years, there must be no measures for serious disciplinary violations, be in good health conditions to perform the duty, and not have a conflict of interest in the exercise of the duty, in accordance with the legislation on conflict of interest.

This is the first time that the head of the Department of Public Safety will be elected through a competition. So far, this position is held by Rebani Jaupi, who is waiting to be seen whether he will be part of the competition or not. After the application phase, the verification of documentation will begin, and then the Commission will interview and score each of them.

Meanwhile, the competition for the heads of other State Police departments has not yet opened.
