The Union of Judges of Albania, after learning of the media report that the judge of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Fier has been threatened with death due to his duty as a judge in this Court, strongly condemns any attempt and action that threatens the life, health, or property of judges and their families.

The Union calls on the criminal prosecution authorities to act as soon as possible to shed light on this serious incident and to hold the suspected perpetrator criminally accountable.

The Union expresses concern about the climate of hatred towards judges and the uncertainty recently created in the exercise of their duties by judges, as the statements and actions that contribute to the creation of this climate and uncertainty are becoming a very dangerous phenomenon, not only for the safety of judges but also for the rule of law and the rule of law in our country.
