Edison Memolla declares that he will not leave the position of mayor of Kavaja without giving his word and the Appeal of the GJKKO, the second instance of the judiciary where he has appealed the 1-year prison sentence given by the GJKKO.

Ever since I was entrusted with the task of representing my people, I have been aware of the weight it would bring in every dimension of it.

I have strongly supported the New Justice and as a result I am open to accepting any decision made against me, but this does not prevent me from appealing a decision that is not based on evidence and facts at all.

I emphasize that until a final decision is made and beyond, I am the mayor of Rrogozhina, in charge of the task and aware of all the responsibilities that this position brings.

Finally, I thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who have been by my side, knowing me, supporting me as a person, believing in my innocent truth, and not turning your back on me even when the situation seems difficult.
