Anis Fama and Dorjana Bezat

Renowned news journalist Dorjana Bezat has announced that her husband, Anis Fama, has passed away prematurely due to a serious illness.

"With deep sadness, we announce the untimely loss of our dear Anis Fama," the journalist writes, adding that despite the strength and faith he had, Anis was unable to win the battle with the incurable disease.

"Adeo and I will forever have him in our hearts, and he will live in our memories as my traveling companion of 15 years and as a father who gave boundless love," continues Dorjana Bezat.

Anis Fama will be laid to rest in his hometown of Korça, as he had left his will. The last farewell will be given at the "Imperial" funeral home and the burial will take place the following day, at 11:00.
