Elbasan police have launched investigations into the administrators of 3 entities, after they hid the income they benefited from currency exchange.

During the search, the police seized from these subjects approximately 6,152,430 lek in various currencies: euros, US dollars, Swiss francs, pounds, etc.

The operation was codenamed "The Script 2". 

Police announcement:

The Specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, in cooperation with other structures of the Elbasan DVP, in continuation of the work to identify and crack down on illegal activities in the field of economic and financial crimes, organized and finalized, under the direction of the Elbasan Prosecution Office, the police operation codenamed "The Script 2". 

During the operation, checks were carried out on currency exchange entities in the city of Elbasan. The checks revealed that the administrators of 3 such entities did not declare the income they received.  

At the conclusion of the actions for these cases, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against the administrators of the 3 entities, citizens RK, 62 years old, BL, 63 years old, and AN, 58 years old.

As material evidence, approximately 6,152,430 lek in various currencies (lek, euros, US dollars, Swiss francs, pounds, etc.) were seized. 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for further action.
