Wanted by the Tirana Police after the serious incident that occurred at "Hotel Gjuta" where an 18-year-old woman was injured with a gunshot,  Sajmir Gjuta  and  Elvir Gjuta have been arrested , and it has been decided that they will be investigated at large.

Sajmir Gjuta, 49, is the father of Erisjaldo Gjuta , the 18-year-old's boyfriend, while Elvir Gjuta , 22, is the cousin of the 22-year-old. The latter is in prison for the same incident.

Sajmir Gjuta and Elvir Gjuta are accused of the criminal offenses of "Failure to report a crime" and "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth."

Elvir Gjuta also accompanied the 18-year-old to the hospital along with the 22-year-old's mother. Asked at that moment about the circumstances of the young woman's injury, they stated that they did not know the girl, but found her lying on the roundabout near the Faculty of Economics.

But investigations revealed that the scene was precisely at the Gjuta Hotel, where the tribesmen allegedly covered up their tracks, including the weapon which has not yet been found.

Police announcement:

Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes against Life and Property arrested citizens S. Gj. and E. Gj., who were wanted for the criminal offenses "Failure to report a crime" and "Acts that hinder the discovery of the truth", committed in collaboration, for the incident that occurred on 14.02.2026, in Sauk, where an 18-year-old woman injured herself. After consulting with the Prosecutor, it was decided that these citizens be investigated at large.
