The protest in Tirana against the construction of the resort in Zvërnec has also been accompanied by calls for the clarification of many serious events that have shaken the country over the years.

The protesters did not forget to demand justice for the event known as the Pëshkëpi massacre, which occurred on April 10, 1994, where 2 soldiers of the Albanian Armed Forces were killed and 3 others were injured by a paramilitary formation of a Greek nationalist group, part of which Fredi Beleri, today an MEP, is strongly suspected of having been.

Through a large banner that was displayed in front of the Prime Minister's Office, protesters demanded justice for the murders of Fatmir Shehu and Arsen Gjini.

"Fredi Beleri - The Accused," the banner reads.

The attack on a border post near the village of Peshkëpi i Dropulli, four kilometers inside the Albanian border, resulted in the killing of two Albanian soldiers and the wounding of three others. It began early in the morning of April 10, 1994, and was carried out by a paramilitary formation of a Greek nationalist group that sought the unification of part of Southern Albania with Greece. The Peshkëpi border post had at that time 130 young and unarmed recruits.
