After concluding the meeting with the residents of Zvërnec, where he discussed the project planned to be developed in that area and answered all their questions, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a rally with the socialists of Vlora.

The rally was held in the coastal city's "Flag" Square as part of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Party.

Rama indicated that he came from Tivat, saying that a place with 10,000 inhabitants, today hosts 5 million tourists.

He said that this is only thanks to the tourism project that was developed. The Prime Minister indicated that investors in Tivat also came to Albania, but that they were not welcomed.

"I came from Tivat, Montenegro today and one moment changes the fate of a country. I thought about how a decision can greatly affect the future of a state. Tivat is a beautiful place, but Vlora, like Tivat, has every bay of its own. Everyone called it a low-level coast. Those who transformed Tivat, which today has 5 million tourists a year, even though it has 10 thousand inhabitants, came to Albania.

Investors came to Albania sometime in 2009 or 2010 and found the door closed here. They wanted to build the Port of Durres. A man from Canada, who was forced to flee because he wanted to make his investment in Durres. The project would transform Albania. It didn't do it in Albania, but it did it in Tivat. In the Port and around the port, the value of land increased enormously. Tivat is a beautiful place, but it doesn't compare to Albania, which has endless rivers and two seas ," Rama said.

He further stated that the investment in Zvërnec will be a blessing for the Albanian economy.

"Investing in Zvërnec will be a blessing for the economy not only for Vlora. Investing in Zvërnec will be a blessing for the economy of the entire country. This country is only yours, Hitler told the Germans. And you know very well how history ended. Whoever speaks against foreigners means awakening very dark instincts of racism.

"Albania only had Albanians, but the people took the mountains. Albanians for Albania and not Albania of Albanians. The people get stuck when they are led by delusional people and not by those who dream of this country becoming. Albania needs respect, both for the voice of the imam, and for the voice of the priest, and for the voice and skin of anyone that God has decided to give birth to in Israel, Brazil, the USA, etc. ," Rama said.

He also spoke about the criticisms made of the Zvërnec project.

"Some of them have something to do with the father and father-in-law of those who want to invest in Albania. We have delusional people and charlatans who say that Albania belongs to Albanians. They say that these resorts will bring foreigners because they want to pay them for a piece of bread. Meanwhile, in the hotels of Vlora and on the Ionian coast, salaries are the same or higher than in Greece. Albania was actually raped long before we came to power. They made a big mess, and we are paying for the consequences of that mess.

"We have never done the dirty things that these people have done with the properties. When they told us about investments in Sazan, we told you that the island is land and property of the Albanian people. We told you that you can invest, every brick you put is yours, but the island belongs to the Albanians. Only one PIN has the code for the future of Albania: the Socialist Party," Rama said.
