This is Dorian Kasa, who attempted to take the service weapon from Officer Loren Rama and then stab him with a knife. But thanks to the officer's quick reaction, tragedy was averted.

The State Police reports that the serious incident occurred around 8 am, when Dorian Kasa approached Officer Loren Rama, who was managing traffic, attempted to take his service weapon and put a knife to his throat.

"He attempted to attack a Traffic Police officer on duty with a cutting tool and take his service weapon. The perpetrator was immediately neutralized and placed in handcuffs."

The cutting tool (knife) was seized. Specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes against the Person arrested, in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offenses of "Murder of State Police employees", attempted, and "Manufacture, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons without a permit", citizen DK, 38 years old, the Police announced today.
