Prime Minister Edi Rama met today with the residents of Zvërnec, where the project, which has sparked protests, will also be located.

Rama stated that the SPAK investigation is not about the project, but about an entity that sold the land, while he reiterated that he welcomes the SPAK investigations.

"There are people who do not have their properties on paper, but they have them in words or other things. Everything is looked at in the mortgage. As long as that land was purchased by investors, it is the investors' land legally for the state. For an entity that sold the land, it turned out that there is an investigation for an entity. Therefore, the fund was blocked, but the transaction took place.

The investigation is not about the project, it is not about the development there. The investigation is about an entity that has sold the land. Whoever receives the letter from the court that he is an heir will receive the money he is entitled to , "said Rama.

Rama also recalled that from the moment the Trump family's interest in investing in Albania became public, he had made the distinction between the role of the government and issues related to private property.

"When the issue of the Trump family's interest in Albania first came up, I said that Sazani is an issue that belongs to the government, while the opposite part is an issue that belongs to private owners. So whether Albania is sold or not when it comes to private property, that is decided by the owners ," the prime minister declared.

Focusing on the investigations that have been publicly mentioned regarding this issue, Rama emphasized that they are not related to the company or the investment.
