The person you see in the photos below is 28-year-old Gëzim Muçaj , who lost his life in the tragic accident recorded in the early hours of this Monday morning, around 05:05, on the "Tirana-Durrës" highway.

The victim was the driver of a van that initially collided with the traffic divider.

After the accident, the 28-year-old, along with the three passengers in the vehicle, Eduart Ripa, Ervin Qira  and  Shkëlqim Doçi, went out onto the road to see the damage that had been caused to the van.

While they were standing on the road, they were hit by a vehicle driven by citizen Ismail Laçe.

As a result of the second accident, Gëzim Muçaj lost his life at the scene, while the 3 passengers were injured and were urgently taken to the Trauma Hospital.

The victim and the three injured were on their way to work at the time of the accident.

Gëzim Muçaj was from Zall Bastari and worked with heavy tonnage vehicles.

He was born after 6 sisters and for this great joy he brought to the Muçaj family, his parents named him Gëzim.

The young man lived in Kamëz and previously worked as a ticket collector for the buses on this line.

Police reported that driver Ismail Laçe has been escorted to the police station, while the investigation team continues to work to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
