This evening, surveys conducted by "Top Story" showed the causes of the civic protest that has now entered its third week.

The survey conducted by "Top Story" found that about 90% of respondents supported the protest in the capital for 3 main reasons: "Distrust of institutions", "Lack of transparency" and "Opposition to the government". Only a little more than 10% of respondents support the protest for "Protection of the environment" and "Opposition to the project".

Analyst Arjan Curri said that the flamingos were just an excuse and that the civic revolt is clearly against the government and the political class.

"If we assume that 90% of everyone has this attitude, that is, that they support the protest because they do not trust the institutions, there is a lack of transparency or opposition to the government, it is clear that they are against the state and the political establishment. We said at the beginning that the flamingos were an excuse. Clearly, these protests are no longer just about the flamingos ," Curri said.

Meanwhile, analyst Ervis Iljazaj said that Edi Rama and Sali Berisha have provoked Albanian society a lot and that the ongoing protest is against the Rama-Berisha duo. He added that those who take to the streets to protest feel excluded by both parties.

"There is a rejection, it is clear that flamingos were the last straw according to the survey. I see this protest as a protest against the current political class, the Rama-Berisha duo that has made decisions for this country without being opposed for 30 years."

Rama and Berisha have provoked Albanian society a lot, one says we will get a fifth mandate and govern for 50 years, the other says leave the party when God takes me. It was known that it would explode at some point.

"Those who come out all feel excluded by these two parties. One party hasn't had elections for 16 years, the other says they held a referendum ," Iliazaj said.

Former right-wing MP and former chairman of LZHK, Dashamir Shehi, said that the protest is among the best and most noble in recent years. But Shehi added that the time is coming for this civic movement to take shape and begin to take political steps and formulate demands.

"I say that this is the best and most noble protest of these years. There are several elements. One is that they have identified the opponent, the two party leaders, and this is a very good thing."

The second is that it is horizontal, within the protest there are different positions and beliefs, but they have one thing in common, anger against the political establishment. The Pelicans are the reason for this.

"Beyond the protest, will they produce a political group, will they be able to organize their anger there. The day has come now for them to start thinking about the demands. They say the new Albania, very beautiful, I have been trying for 30 years for a third way myself, these people succeeded because they are more capable than me, but they need to start thinking about how they will concretize this movement, whether it is a demand for a transitional government or other demands that they judge as necessary for the movement ," said Dashamir Shehi.
