The killer of 63-year-old Fatima Suli in the village of Kozare, Fetah Marra, appeared today in the Court of Berat, where it was decided that a preliminary hearing would be held against him. The family members of the 63-year-old victim have requested, through their lawyer, the return of the file to the Prosecutor's Office of Berat for further investigations.

News 24 reports that the family members of the deceased were dissatisfied with the investigations as they claim that their neighbor Izet Marra, whom the victim told them had been sexually harassing her for months, was an accomplice in the murder of Fetah Marra. Also present at the preliminary hearing was the suspect of the Suli family, Izet Marra, who was summoned simply for giving false statements to the prosecutor's office, while the family members accuse him of being an accomplice in the murder.

The lawyer of the Suli family, Ramiz Oboni, has stated that their request that this case not go to trial but to be re-investigated, was argued with the claim that: the investigations were shallow and therefore the prosecution body reached the wrong conclusion in connection with citizen Izet Marra.

Lawyer Oboni stated that Izet Marra was aware of the crime committed before this fact was accepted by the author Fetah Marra. The lawyer has further added that this has been proven by the environmental interceptions described in the investigative file, and for this reason Izet Marra should be charged with "not reporting a crime".

Izet Marra's exit from the courtroom has increased tensions and clashes on the part of the victim's family members. They tried to approach the prison police car to shoot it, but were held and stopped by the police officers of the "Eagle" forces.

The brother of the victim Ramadan Sefa and the sister of the victim File Marra have stated that the killer of their sister is Izet Marra and not Fetah Marra. According to them, Fetahu took the blame as he is without a family. The family members of the victim Fatima Suli have stated that they will make a self-trial against Izet Marra.

63-year-old Fatima Suli was killed on the evening of January 20, 2022, on her land in the village of Kozare in Kuçovo. She was found dead in a ditch, half-naked and covered in dead leaves. Her family members had been looking for her for several hours and after not finding her, they called the police for help. Only after about 1 hour of searching, the 63-year-old woman was found in a canal, about 1 km from her apartment.

Her killer, Fetah Marra, has already admitted the crime and stated that the victim owed him 60,000 lek from breeding herd of cattle. In his testimony, the author Marra said that he had gone to Fatima's farm to ask for the debt and that he was drunk when he grabbed her by the throat and she died in his hands.

The victim Fatima Suli had mental health problems and her medication treatment continued every day until the day she died.
