The editor-in-chief of the SYRI channel, which is also known as the Berisha family television, has caused debates and rumors with a post on social networks.
Journalist Leonard Quku titled the post on his FB profile "Forced clarification". After confirming that he was removed from the post of Chief Editor, Quku writes that "it is alarming when a journalist is treated in this way".
And what is the truth, in his post you find a lot of information that should alert associations for the protection of journalists. As well as portals or online sites that have recently given public evidence that they care about the treatment, dismissal, WhatsApping of journalists.
Here are some excerpts from Mr. Quku's post:
"...throws people onto the streets without cause, without warning, and furthermore refuses to do the liquidations that the law imposes on him".
"...The unilateral decision to dismiss me was made without motive, without warning and without respecting the law, the Labor Code...
"...There has been constant pressure, coercion and psychological violence against me and my family..."
“…Why was my work computer impounded and my news feed deleted? These are documented…”
"...Imagine that I am not given the employment contract and the job appointment order..."
"..the pressures of the tax brigadier who doesn't leave a WhatsApp conversation without intercepting them.."
All of the above statements were taken from the fired editor-in-chief's post. Some questions arise here: Where is the Union of Journalists of Mr. Aleksandër Çipa? What about Mr. Armando Shkullaku's Association of Journalists? What about the Reverend Ricardo Gutierrez's Federation? But Birni, Syri himself, the media and journalists close to the opposition like Ola, Kola, Çimi, Agimi, do they agree with this behavior towards their colleague?
Why do we say this? Why do we ask them to embarrass themselves and say a word about Mr. Quku's case?
Because no more than three or four days ago, the honorable ones above made a big fuss, for a response on Whatsapp of the mayor of Tirana, to a journalist who had "unintentionally mixed up" a couple of letters.
24 hours later, the same ones attacked Alfred Peza because he is trying to start the rusted steel mill from parasitism with the big name RTSH. They accused him of arbitrary dismissals and gave him an ultimatum to withdraw immediately...
Well, double-standard behavior, hypocrisy, party militancy, clan squabbling, set another record here.
Then they vent on social networks, how is it possible that these stupid people never visited us again, neither they, nor the parties, nor the associations, nor the portals, nor the opposition...
It will get worse as long as Mandrat, Sandrat, Riku and the one who throws figs at them continue to see the mote in the other's eye, but not the beam in their own mouth.
That's it for today, as Mr. Quku says./ DAY
