Emiliano Jakupi/ Nardi Idrizi

Greek media have published the photo of the Albanian arrested today, Emiliano Jakupi, 33 years old.

Regarding the wounding of 3 young people from Crete, an incident for which Nardi Idrizi, 37 years old from Vlora, is wanted, Jakupi is said to have stated: "It was a fight road. I hit with my palm, I didn't expect the other to hit with a gun".

According to the sources, he added that after the shooting he got scared and together with his friend got into the car and left. "I don't know where the other one is" he told the police.

Speaking about "Kathimerini", his lawyer Matina Markou stated that her client has surrendered voluntarily.

According to her, the 33-year-old denies being involved in this episode and expresses surprise at his friend's reaction.

Av. Markou has added that Jakupi has had friendly relations with Nardi Idrizi for the last 7 months and on Friday night they went out together, first in the Vrilissi area (where the Fuoristrada they were traveling with was also found) and then in Gazi, to had fun.

According to the lawyer, while they were leaving a club, the car fell into a pond and as a result, the victims of the attack who were at the scene got wet.

They retaliated and a fight took place, during which the wanted perpetrator pulled out a gun and seriously injured three of them.

Av. Markou maintains that her client did not know his co-accused was armed and tries to separate his position from the bloody event.

She also adds that the 33-year-old has a clean criminal record and has no ties to criminal circles, as was reported in the previous 48 hours.

According to the Greek media, in addition to the wounding of three Greek citizens, he was also wanted in connection with the murder of the 40-year-old from Delvina, Pëllumb Islami, which happened on February 21, 2023 in "Nea Ionia" in Athens.

Jakupi has criminal records for drugs, car theft and apartment theft. Meanwhile, he was wanted for the murder of Pöllumb Islam.
