The technical director of the company where the 35-year-old Andi Lala worked , who lost his life the day before while cutting tree branches, has been arrested for "violation of the rules of protection at work".

Enrik Mahmutaj , 33 years old, who was the technical manager of the company, and Blerim Margeshi , 42 years old, who was the driver of the crane from which the employee who died fell, were put in  handcuffs .

According to the police, the firm had not received permission from the competent authorities.

The tragic event happened in district 13 of Durrës. The 35-year-old man was cutting tree branches in the area where works are being carried out for the construction of the pedestrian walkway when he fell from the crane and as a result of his injuries, the employee died.

The driver of the crane has also been arrested, while the investigation into the incident continues.
