After President Bajram Begaj appointed Arben Kingji as Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the decree was immediately supported by American Ambassador Yuri Kim.
Through a post on Twitter, she expressed her enthusiasm to continue the US-Albania military cooperation.
"Congratulations to Brigadier General Arben Kingji on his duty as Chief of Staff for the Albanian Armed Forces. We look forward to working with him to continue strengthening military cooperation, including as NATO allies, while protecting peace and security in the region and the world ," Kim wrote.
