The court leaves the businessman Dodë Rica, owner of the network of strip clubs in Albania and Kosovo, "Club Shqiponja", in a cell with the security measure "arrest in prison", describing the procedure of his detention as legal.

But the file for the process of extradition to Kosovo has passed to the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of Tirana, as the 47-year-old originally from Mirdita appears to be a resident of Tirana, as he is accused of "trafficking people in Kosovo".

The court of Pristina had previously ordered the security measure "arrest in prison" in absentia, and the Albanian police executed the decision in the city of Durrës last week. He is currently in investigative and extradition proceedings.

Rica's arrest was carried out in Durrës, after the denunciations of several Albanian and foreign ballerinas, who had previously worked in one of his clubs, in Pristina.

They accuse Rica of human trafficking and of bringing them illegally to hire them in his clubs. After the denunciation, the Kosovar authorities immediately informed their counterparts in Tirana about his location and arrest.

The Court of Durrës evaluated the measure yesterday (August 25), as it confirmed today, as well as the criminal offense of "human trafficking," according to the Criminal Code of Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the Court of Durrës declared itself incompetent for this matter and decided that the acts be sent to the Court of Tirana, which is competent for judging the case with the purpose of extradition.

Earlier, with a separate decision, the Court ordered the Durrës Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Tirana Prisons, to also ensure Rica's accompaniment to his mother's burial, in the Kombinat cemetery, in the capital.
