The derby "paralyzes" Tirana, police measures: Roads being blocked and warning for fans

All the attention on Sunday is focused on the derby of the capital, where Tirana and Partizan "clash" in the 15th week of the championship.

For the match that will be held at the "Arena Kombëtare" stadium, the State Police has announced the measures taken, as it has informed the roads that will be blocked.

Also, a warning to the fans, who can create chaos, could not be missing.

Tirana Police Statement:

The Tirana Police informs that it has taken measures to guarantee public order and security before, during and after the football match between the teams "KF Tirana" and "Partizani", which will take place on 01.12.2024, in at 19:00, at the "Arena Kombëtare" stadium.

In implementation of the plan of measures, the State Police announces that there will be blockages of some road segments and designated routes, for the movement of the fans of the two teams.

At 2:00 p.m., vehicles will be posted around the stadium, while the road blockade will take place at 5:00 p.m. The road segments that will be blocked, from 17:00 until the end of the activity, are:

- "Lek Dukagjini" street, around the stadium, "Dervish Hima" street, "Gjergj Filipi" street, "Papa John Paul II" street, from the intersection with "Ismail Qemali" street to "Air Albania" stadium, "Dëshmorët e" boulevard Nation", from the Presidency to "Mother Teresa" square.

??The movement of KF "Tirana" fans will take place:

•Selvia - National Theater of Opera - "Skënderbej" square - "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard - Former hotel Dajti Bridge - return to "Bajram Curri" street, - Etc - "Papa John Paul II" street - Coin - Stadium.

??The movement of Partizan fans will take place:

The intersection of "Muhamet Gjollesha" street with "Artan Lenja" street - along "Muhamet Gjollesha" street - "Sulejman Delvina" street, "Ibrahim Rugova" street - behind the Presidency - "Frederik Shopen" square - in front of the stairs of the University of Tirana - stadium .

The police will guarantee and ensure the movement of fans along the designated routes and will not allow fans to gather or pass outside the designated route.

In accordance with the plan of measures, strict checks will be carried out on fans, before entering the stadium, for illegal items (hard objects, water cans, umbrellas, metal keys or pyrotechnics, etc.), and every fan must be provided with an identification document.

Persons who are prohibited from entering sports facilities and environments are obliged to appear physically at the respective police stations, on the day and time of the sports activity, in accordance with law no. 79/2017, "For Sport", amended by law no. 105/2020, and non-implementation of the obligations arising from this law constitutes a violation thereof.

Also, children under the age of 16 will not be allowed to enter the stadium without the presence of a parent or guardian (accompanied by a document), despite the fact that they may be equipped with tickets.

The Tirana Police ask for the understanding of the respective fans, for the implementation of the above obligations, as well as the understanding of the citizens to avoid the movement of vehicles in the above-mentioned road segments, at the specified times.
