Albanian boxer Florian Marku was arrested in Germany this Wednesday.

Sources close to the family say that Florian had traveled to Germany for personal reasons on December 9th, where he also made a stop.

He was arrested in Germany and extradited to Greece, after being wanted for an incident that occurred seven years ago in Thessaloniki. He is accused of wounding and illegal possession of a weapon.

Previously, Marku was convicted for this incident and served 1.5 years in prison in Thessaloniki.

According to him, the incident involved a fight in a bar with some Russians.

Florian Marku is known in the international arena, with a successful boxing career.

In recent years he has been in Great Britain where he has become a professional boxer and won international titles.

The boxer began his career in kickboxing, then moved on to MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and boxing.
