The Court of Appeal of Durrës decided today the security measure "prison arrest" for the two Russians Mikhail Zorin and Zvetlana Timofeeva, as well as for the Ukrainian Fedis Alpatov who tried to enter the arms factory in Gramsh.

They were arrested after the incident at the weapons dismantling plant in Gramsh as they tried to photograph the military facility. In response to the guards' calls to stop, the Russian Zorin attacked the two Albanian soldiers with a chemical spray, injuring them in the face.

During today's hearing, it was learned that the Ukrainian, Fedis Albatov, burst into tears in front of the jury. He claims that he has never been to Russia and that he considers this country as an enemy because of the war in Ukraine. He also confessed that his brother was crippled by the Russian bombings in Ukraine.

After the session, the lawyer of the Ukrainian citizen, Saimir Vishaj, said that the three foreigners should have been released, as there are no facts of criminality, while according to him, the Prosecution of Elbasan itself will dismiss the case.

"It was a very big debate between the defense and the judge. Before a decision where there is no criminal fact. All three should be free today, none of the countries in the world have dealt with students who are bloggers. We will appeal to the Supreme Court, the only right we were given today after a 2 and a half hour marathon. The prosecution has changed its position, considering them innocent as long as there is no final decision, no one can say about espionage. I think that it will be the prosecutor's office of Elbasan that will close this case sooner or later. There is no proof of criminal facts", said lawyer Vishaj.
