US warship docks in Porto Romano, US Embassy: Welcome to Albania

The American warship USS Mount Whitney arrived today off the coast of Albania. The ship is anchored in Porto Romano.

The news was announced by the US Embassy in Tirana, welcoming the American troops, who will begin a new phase of cooperation for the modernization of the Albanian army.

"WELCOME TO ALBANIA, USS MOUNT WHITNEY! This is the FIRST stop of a US warship in Porto Romano. We welcome this new phase in Albania's military modernization and this next step in the strong partnership between our countries," the US Embassy wrote on social media.
