
The American Embassy congratulates the State Police investigators who have successfully completed the 6-week intensive course in crime investigation at the State Police Security Academy in Tirana.
The new investigators were trained by specialists from the US Department of Justice's International Criminal Investigation Training Assistance Program (ICITAP), while over 200 inspectors have been certified since the beginning of the year.
" Congratulations to the latest class of State Police investigators who completed an intensive six-week course in crime investigation at the State Police Security Academy in Tirana. These experienced investigators were provided with advanced training skills by specialists from the US Department of Justice's International Criminal Investigation Training Assistance Program (ICITAP).
Acting Deputy Head of Mission Kathryn Hammond, Deputy General Director of the State Police Sokol Bizhga and Rector of the Security Academy Dr. Illirjan Mandro participated in the ceremony. Nearly half of the training group are women and girls, who will use their new skills to develop the next generation of State Police leaders.
Since January 2024, ICITAP, in cooperation with the State Police and the Security Academy, has trained and certified over 200 State Police inspectors in basic crime investigations. Congratulations to all the graduates!”
