The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office has officially reacted to the published news regarding the seizure of the phone of the Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, as part of the investigations into the National Anti-Corruption Agency.

In a response provided as part of the transparency program, SPAK clarifies that such an action did not occur. According to the institution, the National Bureau of Investigation did not seize the phone of the head of the State Police.

"In response to your request, we inform you that the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) has not seized the phone of the Director of the State Police," SPAK's official response states.

The clarification comes after news that circulated in December last year, which linked the name of the Police Director to the investigations that the Special Prosecution Office is conducting against the AKSH.
