54-year-old from North Macedonia dies in Vlora detention center, here's what is suspected

A 54-year-old man has died after allegedly suffering a cardiac arrest in the Vlora detention facility.

The victim is reportedly from North Macedonia.

Blerim L was in custody on charges of cultivating narcotic plants. According to preliminary information, he has shown health problems and suffered a heart attack, necessitating immediate transportation to the Vlora Regional Hospital.

Despite the doctors' efforts, the 54-year-old did not survive.

Police forces are present at the premises of the Vlora Regional Hospital, while procedural actions are expected to be carried out and the full circumstances of the incident to be clarified.
