Over 111 kg of cocaine seized in Italy/ Three people arrested, including an Albanian!

Italian authorities have cracked down on another drug trafficking ring, seizing over 111 kilograms of cocaine during an operation carried out by the Guardia di Finanza.

The action led to the arrest of three people, including an Albanian citizen, as well as the seizure of approximately 19 thousand euros in cash, suspected to be related to criminal activity.

According to Italian media , the operation, coordinated by the Ancona Prosecutor's Office, began after a series of checks in the main commercial areas of the Marche region.

Finance officers followed a car into the interior of Parma, where they saw the exchange of several bags with the driver of a heavy truck.

In the truck's cabin, they found 100 blocks of cocaine and approximately 19,000 euros in cash, believed to be payment for the transport.

Three men, of Albanian and Romanian origin, were arrested and taken to Parma prison. More than a quintal of pure cocaine hidden in the truck would have brought in 20 million euros.
