The gunshots directed at the police during an anti-cannabis action in Malesia e Madhe have brought a harsh reaction from the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha, for those who dare to shoot at the blue uniforms.

Minister Hoxha calls today's event, but also the conflicts where firearms were used during this week and which took several lives, alarm bells that require an immediate response.

Hoxha emphasizes that he will be by the side of every honest employee to discourage crime and strengthen the rule of law in the territory.

"Circulating with firearms on the streets, residential centers and everywhere, for criminal purposes, as has happened in recent days or even today in Malesia e Madhe, is not just an alarm bell. This bell puts us in front of a big task: To find immediate mechanisms for better and more efficient control of the territory, to provide the right information, with the aim of prevention. 

And on the other hand, and just as important, to change and reform the Police organization, from the center to the grassroots, into a model service, a reflection of our society, a model that can only be provided by professional leaders with integrity, and an organization of well structured and more responsive.”

Hoxha underlines that in the position of the Minister of the Interior "he will support to the maximum and without any hesitation all structures of the State Police, structures that have the law and only the law as their compass in their work, despite the danger and difficulties that the Shkodra Police is facing today in its fight against the cultivation of cannabis or the State Police in its fight against crime in every corner of the country."
