The new year starts with surprises, Messi and Ronaldo in a 'last

Two of football's biggest superstars, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, are likely to meet face to face in a friendly match in January 2023, sports media reports.

According to details, the two football greats Messi and Ronaldo may meet in the middle of the season after a long delay, subject to the possible tour of Messi's club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) to Saudi Arabia to play a friendly match on January 19.

It is further said that the Saudi team will field combined players from Al Nassr and Al Hilal clubs.

There is a strong possibility that the two former La Liga rivals could face off once again with Ronaldo joining Arab club Al Nassr following months of speculation following the end of his contract with English Premier League club Manchester United.

"History in progress. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success, but will inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls, to be the best version of themselves. Welcome Cristiano to your new home," Al Nassr said in a statement as they posted a photo of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner wearing the team's shirt.
