UEFA has revealed the names of the nominees for the best player and coach of the season we left behind.

The list of three candidates for "The best player of the season 2021/22" consists of Karim Benzema, Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois. On the other hand, for coaches, the trio is completed by Ancelotti, Klopp and Guardiola.

Real Madrid's success in winning the Champions League is thought to be key. Thus, the winner will most likely be Karim Benzema for the "Best Player of the 2021/22 season" and Carlo Ancelotti as the "Best Coach of the 2021/22 season".

The winner of these awards will be announced in Istanbul, on August 25, along with the women's player and coach of the year. By winning the main award, Benzema would surely go to the "Golden Ball", for the first time in his career.
