The Albanian Football Federation announced a few days ago the termination of the contract with the "OverSport" company that had won the rights to broadcast the "Abissnet Superiore" and First Category championships, as well as the Albanian Cup and the Albanian Supercup for the 2022- 25.

The AFL indicates that the decision came after repeated violations and non-fulfillment of contractual obligations by the "OverSport" company.

In another reaction, the ALF says that since January of this year the company has not paid the amounts that were agreed in the contract, as well as the violation of public morals as a result of the journalistic attitude.

"As of January 2023, the company "Over Sport" has not paid the sums provided for in the contract according to the relevant deadlines. This company has never given all the guarantees for which it was committed in the contract. The production and telecast of national competitions has been outside of any the technical standard, in particular, has directly affected the operation of the VAR system. Likewise, the editorial stance and journalistic contributions have been outside the requirements of the contract and in many cases even in violation of public morals or the sensibilities of various social groups," says the FA.

In the reaction of the Federation, the time given for the settlement of the obligations of the Oversport company is also indicated.

"For all these cases, "Over Sport" has been notified and warned many times, most recently in May 2023, when it was given a deadline to fulfill its obligations until 31.05.2023, resulting in the termination of the contract. And even more on 02.06.2023, a meeting was held where the company was warned about the termination of the contract and where it again undertook to repay the obligations, this time within 21.06.2023", says the football institution.

Then the AFL says that it decided to terminate the agreement.

"Përtej kësaj date FSHF nuk mund të vinte në rrezik transmetimin televiziv të ndeshjeve për sezonin 2023-2024 dhe për këtë shkak u vendos zgjidhja e kontratës. Në këto kushte, ajo që në fakt “Over Sport” e cilëson si “të papritur” mendojmë se është vetëm një justifikim ndaj konsumatorëve ndaj të cilëve kjo shoqëri ka marrë përsipër angazhime që nuk mund t’i mbajë, ashtu siç ka bërë me FSHF-në", thotë FSHF-ja.

Në lidhje me këtë vendim, kompania "Oversport" ka reaguar duke thënë se vendimi ka ardhur si pasojë e presioneve dhe mungesës së transparencës nga FSHF-ja.

"Oversport krejt paparitur është përballur sot me lajmin e publikuar nga Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit në kanalat e saj zyrtare të komunikimit, për ndërprerjen e kontratës mes palëve, kontratë e cila ishte në fazë negociatash.
