The documentary 'Lorik', dedicated to the legendary captain of the Albanian National Team, Lorik Cana, was broadcast on the screen of SuperSport News on Monday evening.
The former centre-back made his red-and-black debut in June 2003, at the age of 19, in a 3-2 defeat to Switzerland on a transfer, and has since become a reference point for the national team.
Part of the documentary could not be the feeling of Lorik Cana's family on the evening of October 14, 2014, when Cana and his friends fought with the Serbian fans who entered the field with the intention of hitting the red and black players. Lorik's sister reveals that she was very afraid, while the ex-footballer's wife and father are on the same line.
"I couldn't see well and I thought that someone was hitting them, I was afraid that they might even stab them. It was a very terrible moment," said Lorik's sister.
"I don't even want to think what could have happened", said the wife.
"I was afraid, how would I know who enters and what they have in their hands. You can't predict what will happen", said the father.
"The reflex was to protect Balaj and others, to protect my players", said Cana himself.
