Gattuso's sacking, Ancelotti: One day it will happen to Guardiola too

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti consoled Gennaro Gattuso after the Italian was sacked by Valencia. Gattuso and Valencia parted ways last week. Officially, the former Italian midfielder left the club by mutual agreement.

Ancelotti, who managed Gattuso at Milan for many years, consoled his former player at a press conference on Wednesday. " The dismissal is part of the job, we have to take it into account ," Ancelotti said at the conference.

"I think everyone has faced it. Perhaps, the only exception is Pep Guardiola, but if he continues to coach, it will happen to him one day. It's part of the job, I've been fired many times, but I'm still here. There are worse things," he concluded.

Gattuso and Ancelotti met at the Spanish Super Cup in early January and on the eve of the match, surprisingly revealed they are no longer on good terms having not spoken to each other for over a year.
