Leo Messi is happy with his adventure at Inter Miami. The Argentine is having a great time in America.
Although the years pass he remains the same with his class and spectacular goals.
In an interview for the Olga program in the United States of America, Messi told of the dark period he was going through in Paris to the surprise move across the Atlantic.
"There are people who have followed me all my life, who know me. You can tell when I'm happy on the pitch. The idea was to start to settle down a bit after so many years of career, to enjoy football and life elsewhere. And I do.”
The 36-year-old underlined that and why he was declared world champion with Argentina, he did not receive any appreciation from the French club.
"In a way, I understand them, because I was in Paris, in France, in the country where Argentina and I had defeated them in the final of the world championship. Perhaps because of our fault, France could not be declared world champion again. I was the only player who didn't get an appreciation, a congratulations apart from the other 25 players of the Argentine national team. But there is no problem, life goes on and everything is OK."
Asked if he will participate in the World Cup organized in the USA, Mexico and Canada in 2026, Mesi answered:
"I haven't thought about it yet, it's far away. I think about the Copa America, I want to do well there with Argentina. I'm just intrigued by the fact that the World Cup is played in the USA, where I'm active with Inter Miami."
In 12 games that Messi has been active in total with Inter Miami, he has scored 11 goals and provided 5 assists.
