Neymar failed to play the full 90 minutes (plus extra time) against Brazil in their World Cup opener in Qatar. The reason? Injured again, he limped off the field in tears at the end of the second half.

The subject of nine fouls, Neymar was visibly distressed as he left the pitch and was seen speaking to team doctors, who were applying ice to his clearly swollen ankle.

Reports suggest Neymar was in tears on the bench and did not celebrate his side's 2-0 win, instead heading straight down the tunnel to the dressing room with his boot off and ankle swollen.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker has just four days to recover from what local media have described as a "sprain" if he is to feature in Brazil's next group game against Switzerland.

Manager Tite also has to deal with a problem with right-back Danilo, who appears to have pulled a muscle but continued until the end of the game as Brazil had no substitutions left to make.
