After last weekend's defeat to Liverpool, Pep Guardiola addressed the Reds fans by saying that he had won the Premier League title six times, a strange gesture from the Spanish coach that seems more like something only Jose Mourinho would do.
The Catalan stopped short of a possible decline by comparing him to the Portuguese: "I hope not in my case... he has won three Premier Leagues, I have six, but we are similar."
This did not go unnoticed by Mourinho, who did not spare any irony in his response.
"He mentioned me yesterday and said that I have won three Premier League titles, while he has won six. At least I won them fairly and cleanly. If I lost, I want to congratulate my opponent because he was better than me. I don't want to win by dealing with 150 lawsuits under my belt," said the Portuguese, citing the allegations weighing on Manchester City.
