Bayern Munich were eliminated from the German Cup in the 1/8 stage after being narrowly defeated by Bayer Leverkusen at home.

The Bavarians were forced to play with one man less from the 17th minute when Manuel Neuer was sent off.

The 38-year-old goalkeeper made a wrong exit outside the area and due to his intervention, he was punished with what was the first card of his career for the German.

As for the match, the only goal for Leverkusen was scored by Tella in the 69th minute, to give them the qualification for the quarterfinals.
