Senegal wins the "final" with Ecuador and qualifies for the next round as the second ranked team in Group A.
The African national team defeated Ecuador with a score of 2-1, which in turn had the opportunity to qualify through a draw.
But, Senegal was more convincing on the pitch and constantly looked for the goal, which they actually found only at the end of the first half through Ismaila Sarr who scored in the 44th minute from the penalty kick. In the second half, it was expected that Ecuador would look for the equalizer. In fact, the Latin Americans found the back of the net through Caicedo in the 67th minute, but the celebration was short-lived.
It was Kalidu Koulibaly who restored his lead just three minutes later. An advantage that the Africans fanatically maintained until the end of the game and with six points they thus get the much-desired qualification for the next round, where they will wait for the winner of Group B. Meanwhile, Ecuador is eliminated although with four points and after developing a positive edition.
