Between a training session and a transfer negotiation, the new Milan of sports director Igli Tare and technician Massimiliano Allegri is taking its first steps. For the sports director, the contact with the red and black environment is completely new, while for the coach it is a return after 11 years since the farewell, in a context that is nevertheless deeply renewed.
"I am very surprised by the organization of the company - admitted Tare during an event with sponsors. - Everyone has put both me and the coach in the best conditions to work and to make the project start properly. But the road to do is still long."
The choice to entrust a team coming off a disappointing season to Allegri was not accidental:
"We needed an important answer immediately with an experienced and winning coach. There were no doubts and Giorgio and I went to Lugano to talk to the coach. In those 2-3 hours we realized that there was synergy and desire to start the journey. The three of us will try to do our best."
Allegri: Until the matches start, everyone is capable
Massimiliano Allegri was also present at the same event and had the opportunity to talk about his first feelings after a few days of training:
"At the moment we are working well, but until the matches start everyone is capable, then comes what really matters. We know about the difficulties we will encounter - explained Allegri, but we are preparing as best we can. For me, returning to Milan is something fantastic, I am very enthusiastic although there is a lot to do. We have to earn respect and this can only be done by working with great seriousness, professionalism and above all by bringing results".
Furlani with superlatives for the Albanian
Finally, the delegated administrator Giorgio Furlani also spoke:
"Tare and Allegri are professionals with extensive experience, history speaks for them. We are working well together, but then things need to go in a certain direction on August 23 when the championship starts. The feelings are good, but until the matches start and they are won, it doesn't matter much."
