After the FIFA congress in Vancouver, it was decided that the financial rewards for the participating teams would increase from $727 million to $871 million. In other words, double the amount of the last World Cup in Qatar.
Teams participating in this World Cup will receive $10 million for qualification and $2.5 million for preparations for this competition.
FIFA has also decided to assist teams and delegations by distributing another $16 million for the expenses they will have during this time.
The majority of the revenue will be earned by teams that perform positively in this World Cup.
Those who advance to the round of 16 will receive 15 million euros, while the quarterfinals will receive 19 million dollars.
The winning team of the World Championship will contribute $50 million to its federation's coffers, while the finalist team will contribute $33 million.
This edition will start on June 11th.
