Will stay out of the World Cup, reacts Karim Benzema

Through a post on social networks, the Real striker said that he will always think about the national team.

"In my life I never give up, but today I had to think about the team, as I always do, so my reasoning told me to leave the field to a person who will help our team make a fantastic World Cup. Thank you for all the messages and support," wrote Benzema.

"Also, the coach of the Roosters, Didier Deschamps, who did not hide his disappointment, reacted to this: "I am really disappointed for Karimi, who made this World Cup a major goal. Despite this heavy blow for the French national team, I have full confidence in my team. We will give our best to face all the challenges that will come our way."
