Xhaka: I want to make all Albanians proud

Granit Xhaka is preparing to participate for the third time in a World Championship as, with the status of captain, he has the task of leading the Swiss national team.

However, the midfielder does not forget his origin for a moment and in a recent interview for Channel T7 in Kosovo, before going down to the stadiums of Qatar, he emphasizes that he will try to make all Albanians proud with his performances.

On the other hand, Xhaka expresses the wish that Kosovo and Albania also participate in the next World Cup.

"I am really proud to participate for the third time in the World Championship. I will try to make all Albanians proud with my game, wherever they are, and my message is that every Albanian should feel proud of me.

God willing, Kosovo and Albania will also be in the next World Championship. I hope that even in the World Cup he will make an excellent appearance and I will be very committed to this.

For me, as for every other footballer, participating in three World Championships is a dream come true. I am fortunate to participate in the third World Cup as a player and as the captain of Switzerland. As the captain of Switzerland, I believe that I will carry out the duties of the captain with honor, responsibility and respect and I will stand by the responsibility of the Swiss National Team", says Xhaka.

We remind you that the "Helvetii" are drawn in Group G, together with Brazil, Cameroon and Serbia.
