The unfortunate Thomas Strakosha in the English adventure. The red and black goalkeeper was transferred from Lazio to Brentford in the summer, but has yet to make his debut in the Premier League.
If that wasn't enough, he has already suffered a serious injury during training. While practicing with his teammates for penalties, the 27-year-old injured his ankle ligaments.
The damage seems serious, and despite the fact that there is still no exact deadline for recovery, Strakosha risks staying out of the fields for at least two months.
The goalkeeper is expected to recover at the beginning of 2023, as he will miss the friendly with Saudi Arabia, but also the luxury test with Italy in November.
Strakosha has yet to make his debut in the Premier League, where he joined as a free agent last summer after his contract with Lazio expired.
Strakosha has only played one match as a starter with Brentford, that too in the Carabao Cup, where he managed to keep a clean sheet, while he will have to wait for next year for his debut in the championship.
