The arrest and jailing of Dani Alves, accused of allegedly raping a young woman in a Barcelona nightclub on December 30, continues to cause quite a stir.

On this occasion, it is the Spanish media El Correo that has revealed the strategy followed by the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan regional police) to get the Brazilian footballer to return to Spain to make a voluntary statement.

Dani Alves, who was in Mexico fulfilling the contract he had signed with Pumas UNAM, the Mexican team that terminated his deal after his arrest, reached an agreement with his lawyer to return to Barcelona taken by Marca.

As reported by TV3, Dani Alves has declared three different things. At first he said that he did not know the girl whom he allegedly sexually assaulted, then he commented that he saw her but nothing happened and finally he claimed that it was her.
