Dani Alves in prison, hires Leo Messi's lawyer to win his innocence

The prestigious lawyer Cristobal Martell will take over from this Tuesday the defense of Dani Alves in his case of the alleged rape of a 23-year-old girl on December 30 at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona.

The founder of "Martell Abogados" will share the defense of the footballer with Miraida Puente, who until now was the Brazilian's lawyer.

This decision comes after it became known that the lawyer Martell was the same one who was in charge of the immigration procedures when the Brazilian footballer arrived in the Spanish championship. For this reason, the player's family has decided to add one of the most reputable lawyers in the criminal field to his defense.

This news comes only a day after it was announced that justice was removing the footballer from prison with the aim of guaranteeing safety and normal coexistence in a residential module.

In recent years, lawyer Martell has led the defense of the Puyol family, that of Leo Messi and Barcelona in the case of Neymar.
